Whether lifestyle trends, social movements, or politics: social media plays a central role in social events and changes. This practical seminar is aimed at participants interested in research who want to explore these processes in depth as part of a short study. Based on a research question of their own choosing, participants collect online data (e.g., posts, reels, comments), which is then evaluated using qualitative content analysis (Kuckartz & Rädicker, 2024) and finally presented.
The seminar has a clear workshop character with a focus on practical work and offers good training for the bachelor's thesis.
The seminar takes place annually in the winter semester.
